Construction of a new primary care centre in Ballaghaderreen is set to start early next year, according to the HSE. At a recent meeting of Roscommon County Council, members passed a resolution for the disposal of this land to the developer. It is hoped that construction on the new primary care centre can begin in early 2024, involving an approximate 18 month building programme. Roscommon County Council granted planning permission in early 2021 for the new facility on the Convent Road in Ballaghaderreen. The development will see the replacement and demolition of the existing single storey medical centre, and the construction of a new two-storey Primary Care Centre.
